Yakuza 0 Director's Cut is the Switch 2 version of the prequel that many fans call the best starting point for the series. It is set in Japan in 1988, during the bubble economy, and follows two men. Kazuma Kiryu is a young yakuza framed for a murder in Tokyo's Kamurocho district. Goro Majima is an exiled gangster running a cabaret club in Osaka's Sotenbori.

You switch between the two stories. Each hero has three fighting styles that you can change mid-battle, and between fights you can take on side stories, play arcade minigames, try karaoke and invest in business side-ventures. The Director's Cut adds new cutscenes that expand the story, and it offers an English voice track for the first time.

The new Red Light Raid mode brings online multiplayer. Team up with other players to take on waves of enemies, with 60 playable characters to choose from. You can play in handheld, tabletop or TV mode.
