Apple's First Foldable: An iPhone That Opens Into a 7.6-Inch Screen

The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone. Closed, it works like a compact phone with a 5.4-inch outer display; open it and you get a 7.6-inch inner screen with a 2670 x 1878 resolution, 120Hz ProMotion and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, about 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. A polished titanium frame and hinge, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back keep it sturdy, and Apple calls it the thinnest iPhone ever made when unfolded, at just 5.2 mm.

Inside is the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro, built on a 2nm process with 12GB of RAM for smooth multitasking across both screens. The rear camera pairs a 48MP Fusion main lens with sensor-shift stabilisation and a 48MP Fusion ultra-wide, recording up to 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision and ProRes. A 12MP Center Stage camera sits on the outer display, and an under-display camera handles FaceTime on the inner screen.

Each half of the phone has its own battery working together, rated for up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display. Fast charging reaches 50% in about 20 minutes, and 25W MagSafe/Qi2 wireless charging is supported. Touch ID is built into the side button, the phone is IP68 water and dust resistant, and it uses eSIM only, with support for two active eSIMs.
