Samsung's Most Capable Fold Yet
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra pairs an 8.0" Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X main display (2256 x 2504, ~422 ppi, 120Hz) with a 6.5" 120Hz cover screen, both built on Flex Titanium hinge technology for a display that folds flatter and holds up over time. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) drives it, and the frame steps up to an aluminum build with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and Victus Ceramic 3 up front, rated IP48 for dust and water resistance.
The rear camera system leads with a 200MP main sensor, backed by a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide. Dual 10MP selfie cameras cover both the cover screen and the inner display, so portraits and video calls work the same way regardless of which screen is open. Android 17 with One UI 9 adds Samsung DeX for a desktop-class experience once unfolded, plus Ultra Wideband support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
A 5000mAh battery is the largest in the Fold8 lineup, with 45W wired charging (PD3.0, QC2.0) and 20W wireless charging via Qi2.2. At 215g and 4.1mm unfolded, it stays close to the standard Fold8's footprint despite the larger display and battery.
